Computer Lab
Instructor: Charnick, G.
Students visit the computer lab once every other week as part of their block schedule. However, teachers are encouraged to sign up to visit during some of the open blocks. In the lab, we focus on teaching students how to be responsible users of technology.  We use the Microsoft Office programs, Kidspiration, Pixie, and the Internet. All technology lessons are tied to the grade level's curricular objectives.

In 4th grade, students reviewed proper keyboarding skills and practiced formatting font to organize sentences about Jamestown.

In 5th grade, students looked writing samples to identify good writing techniques. Then they discussed good strategies to include on a Writing Tip sheet they will be able to use in the classroom.
